Summertime

Don't you just love summertime? It is so nostalgic. The smell of charcoal or a freshly cut lawn always takes me back to my childhood. The kids and I were playing outside yesterday and I actually heard an ice cream truck. I had to fight every urge not to go running and screaming into the house to get money from Mom, who never ever had it in a quick and easy location. Where have ice cream trucks been? I have missed them so, and the super cool thing about this is that I got to share my children's first "ice cream truck experience"with them. Sarah said in awe, "I didn't know such a thing existed." That was pretty funny. Also the kids now have an awesome play fort that they can climb on, swing on, and hopefully not get hurt on. We have even made some new friends because of it. Sarah has a play date tonight with a little girl that we met last night. Summer is an attitude. It is playful, care-free, sometimes mischievous and always fun!
